Kingdom Rush 6 Genesis TD Malik

A fury of steel. The hammer hero who returns with Devlog #5: Return of the Fury.

Last updated:

Malik

Malik is confirmed for Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis TD. Ironhide’s Devlog #5 (June 2026), “Return of the Fury,” is the official introduction. He is not a rumor portrait. He is a fieldable champion in the twelve-hero roster, built as a strength-based melee with a hammer. The “fury” in the title is not a rage meter — it is the promise that something big and heavy is coming back to Linirea.

Play him as an Anchor or breaker, depending on your map layout. Read the two-hero system before you treat Malik as a cosmetic.

What Ironhide actually wrote

The devlog title says “Return of the Fury.” The visual shows a character built for impact: broad shoulders, heavy armor, and a hammer large enough to make Gerald Lightseeker reach for his shield instinctively. Malik is the power fantasy answer to Zefira’s mobility. Where the battlemage dances around the choke, Malik wants to stand on it and make enemies regret their approach.

The lore frame is strength. Not magic, not agility — raw, hammer-down strength. The fury is personal: this is not a calm soldier. This is someone who returns because something unfinished demands finishing, and the hammer is the argument.

Exact abilities will be on the in-game Heroes panel after 24 September 2026. This wiki does not invent hammer combo names or fury mechanics.

How he probably plays

Until the panel tooltips ship, rank the job:

  • Melee, high threat, likely designed to hold a door or delete clumps.
  • Hammer suggests slow but devastating hits — armor shred on the swing, not a rapid stab.
  • Anchor-shaped if the hammer has reach or AoE on impact. Gerald-shaped if the animation locks.
  • A breaker-shaped Malik sends you at elite targets, then pulls before respawn timer eats your three-star.

Pairs that make sense on paper:

  • Gerald + Malik — two hammers. Only on a single choke with extra stall already placed. Most campaign stages are not that.
  • Zefira + Malik — Rover + Anchor. Fine if you want hammer presence on the door and magic coverage on the split.
  • Malik + flying dragon — one hammer, one flyer. Handles disconnected paths cleanly.
  • Malik + Oni — two power melee. Stacking jobs that want to stand still. Risky.

See the hero tier list for letters. Malik sits in the Anchor or breaker band until launch-week clears exist. Devlog lore is not a damage table.

Modes

Iron mode — lock him if your locked towers lack melee presence. The hammer probably has enough threat to justify the slot. You cannot swap mid-stage.

Classic Modeone hero. Malik as the singleton is a statement. Gerald is still the safer door, but Malik is the hammer.

Spells Rush bans heroes. The spell list has to fake the anchor with Royal Edict and Rally.

Roster context

The Heroes panel shows twelve portraits. Malik is one of the confirmed names alongside Gerald, Zefira, Ignus, Drakkan, Ashbite, Oni, and Bolin Farslayer. Full list: hero roster.

Devlog #5 is early in the Friday series — earlier than Ignus and Oni. That places Malik closer to the tutorial pair in Ironhide’s intended narrative arc. The game teaches you Gerald, then Zefira, then introduces Malik as the next piece of the strength puzzle.

What not to believe

  • He is not a duplicate of Gerald. Same job, different tool. Hammers and swords have different swing arcs.
  • He is not a boss. He is a hero. See the beginner guide if you are unsure what that means.
  • He is not a reason to skip economy. Archers still pay the bills until the hammer earns its spot.

When the September build unlocks his tree, come back and add nodes. Until then, the job is “hammer, not a staff.”

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis TD questions.

Is Malik in Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis TD?

Yes. Devlog #5 on 5 June 2026 confirms he is joining the twelve-hero roster with the hammer and the title Return of the Fury.

Should I replace Gerald with Malik?

Not necessarily. Both are Anchors or breakers. Malik is the hammer option; Gerald is the sword-and-shield option. Pair them only if stall is already covered.

What is Malik's role?

Devlog #5 calls him a strength-based melee with a hammer. The fury suggests high impact, not rapid attacks. He is either a second Anchor or a breaker, depending on map layout.
