Kingdom Rush 6 Genesis TD Genesis TD System Requirements
Dual-core, 4 GB RAM, 64-bit. A mouse still beats a pad for two heroes.
Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis TD is a 2D tower defense, not a ray-traced sim. Steam’s published minimums are modest. Meet them, then worry about dual-hero micro, not GPU brands.
The full game is scheduled for 24 September 2026. These numbers come from the Steam store page for app 4259190. If Valve’s text changes, this page should change. Do not use a random APK site’s “Android 15 only” claim as law.
Windows (Steam)
Minimum (64-bit required):
- OS: Windows 10
- Processor: Dual-core CPU
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
Recommended: Steam only repeats “64-bit processor and operating system” without a second GPU line. Translation: if you can run a browser and a previous Kingdom Rush, you can run Genesis. A dedicated GPU is nice; it is not the bottleneck. The bottleneck is clicking two heroes.
macOS (Steam)
Minimum:
- OS: macOS 10.13
- Processor: Apple M1 or Intel Core M
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
- Graphics: OpenGL 3.0 compatible with 1 GB VRAM
- Storage: 1 GB available
Apple Silicon is listed. Intel Macs that meet 10.13 and OpenGL 3.0 are listed. If you are on a 2012 laptop that cannot OpenGL 3.0, use mobile or a different machine.
What Steam does not list
- Linux: platform flags were Windows and macOS only.
- A fat GPU recommended spec. This is hand-painted 2D.
- An always-online requirement. It is a single-player campaign with Steam Cloud and achievements.
Mobile
iOS and Android pre-order pages exist. Storage will be small relative to a 3D shooter. The real requirement is a screen you can tap portraits on. Dual-hero play on a tiny phone is harder than on a tablet. See Controls.
Emulators are third-party. This wiki will not pretend an unofficial Android container is a supported Ironhide platform. If you go that route, you are on your own for input mapping.
Accessibility flags that are also “requirements”
Steam lists adjustable difficulty, custom volume, mouse-only, and partial controller support. If you need mouse-only, you can play. If you insist on a pad for Iron mode, expect more mis-selects on portraits.
Practical checklist before 24 September 2026
- Windows 10 64-bit or macOS 10.13+ with 4 GB RAM.
- A mouse, or a tablet if you are on mobile.
- 1 GB free (Mac’s published storage line; Windows will be in the same ballpark).
- Steam client signed in for wishlist and Cloud.
- The Getting Started page open in a second monitor if you have one — that is optional, unlike RAM.
If the September build ships a heavier recommended spec, we will add it here. Until then, buy the game for the campaign, not for a graphics card upgrade. Linirea is painted. Your CPU is bored. Your fingers will not be.
Steam Deck and handheld PCs
Steam’s Deck compatibility field was still unmarked in the coming-soon snapshot this wiki captured. Dual-hero micro on a trackpad is possible and slower than a mouse. If you play handheld, bind portraits to the back buttons if the game exposes them, and expect Iron mode to feel nastier than Veteran. This is not a “Deck Verified” promise. It is a warning that pointer games on sticks need humility.
Cloud saves: Steam Cloud is listed. That helps if you bounce between a desktop and a laptop. It does not sync a mobile IAP roster onto Steam. Those are different stores. See launch news.
Network
The campaign is single-player. You need the internet to download, wishlist, and talk on Discord. You should not need a raid-tier connection to pause a Western Wall wave. If a launcher asks for a permanent always-online check after launch, that would be news — and it is not on the current Steam feature list.
Display and HUD
The Steam screenshots on this wiki are 16:9. The HUD puts lives and gold top-left, portraits bottom-left, pause top-right. Ultrawide may letterbox; we will note it if players report a broken HUD after 24 September 2026. Color-blind settings were not a headline store bullet. If you need contrast, use the OS tools and the pause button rather than waiting for a hidden slider.
Storage growth
Mac’s 1 GB line is the published floor. Patches, extra languages, and extra high-res atlases can grow a folder. Leave headroom. Do not install on a 2 GB leftover partition and then blame Ironhide when Cloud cannot write.
If your machine fails these lines, play on mobile or wait. If it passes, skip the hardware rabbit hole and open Getting Started. The bottleneck is never the dual-core. The bottleneck is moving Zefira and Gerald to two different doors.
