Kingdom Rush 6 Genesis TD Genesis TD Hero Tier List
Rank the pair. A second melee S-tier is still a leak on a split map.
Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis TD lets you take two of twelve heroes into every stage. This list ranks jobs, then names. An Anchor who cannot stand on a door is not S. A Rover who cannot leave the door is not S. Read the two-hero system before you argue letters.
The Heroes panel already shows the full portrait strip and two equipped slots. Confirmed names from Ironhide’s Friday posts and that panel include Gerald Lightseeker, Zefira, Malik, Ignus, Drakkan, Ashbite, Oni, Bolin Farslayer, plus additional Linirean champions. This page does not invent the last silhouettes. It ranks the jobs we can already play and the roles the rest obviously fill (flying dragon, hammer tank, fire mage).
S — pair-defining
Gerald Lightseeker (Anchor). Iconic paladin, Sword of Elynie, shield, frontline. The tutorial is built around him because the campaign is built around a door that must not open. In Vengeance he got lazy; in Genesis he is the veteran sent back with the goddess blade. You can bench him later. You should not bench him before you understand stall. Full notes: Gerald Lightseeker.
Zefira (Rover). Academy battlemage who fights closer than a Scholar Mage tower. She is the demo’s leak-catcher and the reason two-hero play feels different from “Gerald plus a statue.” Split maps (Silveroak, Academy gardens) make her look unfair. Single-choke maps make her merely good. Full notes: Zefira.
A flying/dragon Rover (Drakkan / Ashbite family). The portraits and Devlog #13 (Arcane Dragon) exist because some paths disconnect. A flyer is S when the dirt does not connect. It is A when the map is a single street.
A — default wins
Malik (Anchor or breaker). Devlog #5 framed “the return of the fury” and hammer time. A second melee who actually hits clumps is how you rest Gerald without losing the door. Do not pair Malik with Gerald on a two-path map unless a third stall (Knights Order + Treant) already exists.
Ignus (Rover, magic). Devlog #25: the flame prodigy before he was a full elemental. Magic Rovers cover the armor job when you are in Classic Mode and only own one mage tower.
Bolin Farslayer (Rover, physical poke). Series artillery-shaped hero. Long lanes like Western Wall want him more than a second paladin.
B — region or mode spikes
Oni. Devlog #27 is a lore teaser, not a stat sheet. Expect a high-mobility or high-risk kit. B until launch-week clears exist.
Gemina / purple-mage portrait. Magic specialist. Spikes on armored regions (Stormcloud, Academy). Overlaps Zefira if you already have a battlemage Rover.
Rhodes / remaining named Linireans. Shown, not fully documented. Treat as B until you have a Veteran sample size.
C — needs a plan
Double-dragon pairs, double-tank pairs, and “both portraits are glass” pairs. The units might be strong; the pair is C because it fails the job test. Ironhide did not add a second hero so you could stack cosmetics on one flag.
Mode splits
- Veteran: Gerald + Zefira is A/S and teaches the game. See Getting Started.
- Iron: lock a complementary pair. Two of the same job is a restart. Iron mode.
- Classic: one hero only, plus the original four towers. Pick the singleton that covers the job the four pads will miss. Classic Mode.
- Spells Rush: heroes are banned. This list does not apply; go to spells.
How to actually pick
- Look at the campaign stage. One path or two?
- Pick Anchor first (usually Gerald or Malik).
- Pick the job the towers will not cover (flyer, armor, clump).
- Spend personal tree nodes on survive/delete, not on flavor.
- If both heroes died together on the last attempt, the list did not fail you — the stagger did.
Letters move. Jobs do not. Keep the tower list in the other tab so you do not use a hero to cover a pad you already filled.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis TD questions.
Who is the best hero in Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis TD?
There is no solo best. Gerald is the default Anchor and Zefira the default Rover. Rank the pair for the map.
How many heroes are in the game?
Twelve in the roster, two fielded per stage. Steam and Ironhide both use those numbers.
Should I use two tanks?
Only on a single choke with extra stall already placed. Split maps want an Anchor and a Rover.
