Kingdom Rush 6 Genesis TD Genesis Friday Devlogs

The official posts that named heroes, towers, and the tower-level rework.

Devlogs

Ironhide ran a Friday devlog series for Kingdom Rush 6: Genesis TD on kingdomrushgenesis.com/news. This page is a tactical index, not a reprint. Read the original for art; use the links below to jump into the wiki page that actually changes how you play.

Hero posts

  • #2 Gerald Lightseeker — veteran paladin, Sword of Elynie, helmet debate. Wiki: Gerald.
  • #3 Zefira — Academy battlemage. Wiki: Zefira.
  • #5 Malik / Return of the Fury — hammer time. Wiki: roster.
  • #13 Drakkan, Arcane Dragon — flying Rover. Wiki: hero tier list.
  • #25 Ignus, Flame Prodigy — fire before the elemental era.
  • #27 Oni — hell-and-back teaser.

If a Friday post is a hero, the play advice is always the same: pick Anchor or Rover, then pair. Two-hero system.

Tower and map posts

  • #7 Archers — economy and flyers. Tower tier list.
  • #8 Linirean Citadel — stage one. Campaign stages.
  • #9 Royal Catapult — artillery identity.
  • #11 Knights Order — barracks.
  • #12 Western Wall — also an 80k-wishlist video.
  • #14 Dwarven Culverin — explosive artillery cousin.
  • #15 Map’s last pieces — world map teases.
  • #18 Nivus at Lozagon Tower — Archwizard set-piece.
  • #19 Shadow Order — cloaked demo raiders.
  • #23 Ironbark Treant — grumpy tree stall.
  • #4 Arcane Academy — Zefira’s home turf.
  • #6 Silveroak Village — forest splits.

Systems posts you should not skip

  • Tower level system note plus #28 The Rework / bye bye blue UI — the reason June YouTube sell timings are suspect. If a creator still quotes demo DPS as law, send them here, then to the tower list.
  • Classic Mode and #22 Classic questions — anniversary four-tower rule. Wiki: Classic Mode.
  • #21 Changing course — “we heard you.” Context for why systems moved after the demo.

Lore posts that are not tactics

Primordials, Tear/Sword of Elynie essays, 15-year fan art, 200k map reward. Fun. They do not change where you rally Knights Order. Gerald’s panel already tells you the Tear of Elynie is the campaign excuse for time travel.

How to use this index after launch

When a new Friday post lands, this page should gain one line: date, title, which wiki child to open. We will not paste the whole essay. If Ironhide patches Iron, the line should point at Iron mode. If they name the last hero, the line should point at the roster.

Official home: kingdomrushgenesis.com. Steam news hub for app 4259190. This fan wiki is downstream on purpose.

Reading order if you are late

You do not need 28 posts in chronological panic. Read this stack:

  1. #2 and #3 — Gerald and Zefira, the pair you will actually click.
  2. #8, #12, #6 — Citadel, Western Wall, Silveroak. Geometry before lore.
  3. #7, #9, #11, #14, #23 — the tower jobs and the first specialists.
  4. The tower-level note and #28 — so you stop quoting June DPS.
  5. Classic Mode posts — only if you care about the anniversary rule-set.

Everything else is flavor: primordials, fan art, contest winners. Flavor does not rally a Knights Order. If a Friday post is 90% joke and 10% mechanic, take the 10% and go back to the campaign stages page.

How a devlog should change your kit

If Ironhide nerfs a tower level, you change the tower list, not your entire personality. If they add a hero, you add a line to the roster and you still pair Anchor with Rover. If they announce a mode, you open Iron or Classic instead of inventing a sixth currency.

Devlogs are not patch notes. Patch notes will get their own dated entries on the updates hub after 24 September 2026. Until then, Friday is the firehose and this index is the filter. Bookmark the newsroom. Do not bookmark a leak account that “summarizes” a post you could have read in three minutes.
